Underwriter & Operational Lead, Warranty Service Programs
Reporting to the Head of Warranty Service Programs (WSP) this role will take the lead in ensuring program pricing and administrative & operational processes are set up in full compliance with required standards to ensure tight local control and support underwriting and portfolio management to drive profitable growth. This position will work in a proactive and collaborative manner with multiple stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative/ Operational control management
- Assist in the setting up of new business in full alignment with all AIG Global and local policies.
- Continually review existing business to ensure program underwriting controls fully comply with Global WSP CUO UW Guides and Procedures.
- Ensure on a monthly cycle that program administration is complete and accurate.
- Use/improve/create appropriate frameworks and tools to monitor program controls and recommend and implement required improvements.
- Assist in program profitability reviews to review support function cost allocations and identify change in process to reduce cost whilst ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Supports internal and external solutions to meet service levels, improve efficiency and reduce cost
- Audits the output from processing and claims to ensure accuracy.
- Liaises with external party/partners on statements/billing/invoicing.
Underwriting Support
- Supports the implementation, coordination and management of corrective actions to maintain the targeted loss ratio.
- Maintains and manages policy wording, endorsements and the collateral register, ensuring version control and appropriate signoffs from legal, compliance and other internal parties as required.
- Support the preparation work for all audits.
- Supports the implementation of action plans based on audit recommendations and findings.
Essential knowledge, skills and Abilities:
- Degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing insurance products
- Highly organized, thorough and diligent with strong project management skills
- Experience of process control, monitoring and improving operational processes
- Team player with experience working with cross-functional stakeholders
- Technology savvy
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, & presentation skills
- Strong proficiency in English and local language required
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, Project and Excel
