Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting, extensive audit experience, and a keen interest in financial reporting systems integration. This role is critical in ensuring our compliance with evolving accounting standards, particularly the implementation of IFRS 18.
Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of IFRS 18, effective from January 1, 2026, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
Provide expert guidance on complex technical accounting issues, researching and applying relevant accounting standards.
Oversee and manage external audit processes, serving as the primary contact for auditors and ensuring all audit requirements are met.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate and optimize financial reporting systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies.
Mentor and develop junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification highly preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a significant focus on audit.
Proven experience in implementing new accounting standards with specific knowledge of IFRS 18 highly desirable.
Strong technical accounting skills and a thorough understanding of financial reporting principles.
Demonstrated interest and experience in financial reporting systems integration and optimization.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
