Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security and Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, visitors, and company property. This role involves monitoring premises, enforcing safety regulations, responding to emergencies, and reporting any suspicious activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
- Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain daily logs and incident reports.
- Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards or breaches.
- Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or natural disasters.
- Cooperate with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical personnel when necessary.
- Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or safety training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a security officer or safety personnel preferred.
- Valid security license or certification (if required by local regulations).
- Knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
- Shift work may be required (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Both indoor and outdoor duties, depending on the site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
