The school nurse will treat students, faculty and staff for medical issues, help prevent disease, and coordinate routine health assessment. The school nurse will also be involved in administrative work at the sickbay, isolation room and at the reception counter.
- Responsible for professional medical treatment of students, faculty and staff.
- Responsible for disease prevention. Assist in implementing Covid-19 SOP set by Cempaka, MOE and MOH. Screen and evaluate students, staff and faculty for Covid-19 symptoms.
- Responsible for updating vaccination records for the Cempaka community. All records pertaining to the vaccination must be up to date and available to produce a report immediately upon request.
- Assists in promoting and implementing the Wellness Program.
- Provides emergency aid to students, faculty and staff.
- Supervise students in sickbay and isolation room.
- Maintain clinical records including inventory of medical items.
- Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) required to be effective in this position
- Knowledge of professional nursing principles, techniques, basic sciences, and of child health.
- Hands-on experience working with first aid.
- Ability to work cooperatively with people and to maintain an objective attitude.
- Ability to carry our written and oral instructions and to exercise judgement in the application of nursing care.
- Patience and empathy when dealing with children who may be difficult.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheet, Slides).
- Required to be registered with the Nursing Board of MalaysiaRequired
