Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety & Security Manager to join our team in Sepang, Malaysia. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety and security programs to protect our personnel, assets, and operations.
- To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the General Manager.
- To respond to any changes in the restaurant function as dictated by the hotel.
- To project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control.
- To have a complete understanding of the Income Audit Section in the Operations Manual and Policies & Procedures.
- To provide a courteous and professional service at all times. Employee Handling
- To recruit and select and train safety and security employees who are able to work within the decentralized management philosophy, following the Concepts Statement established and the Financial, Operational and Administrative Philosophies outlined above and who understand and support the company's Philosophy of Multi Skilling and Multi-Tasking.
- To ensure that each division supervisor plans and implements effective training programs for their staff with the Departmental Trainers.
- To ensure that each division supervisor maximizes productivity and morale with their respective departments and consistently maintain discipline following Hotel Policies & Procedures and local legislation.
- To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees through Multi Skilling, Multi-Tasking and flexible scheduling and by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.
- To develop departmental trainers, assign training responsibilities and meet with Departmental Trainers monthly.
- To keep Safety and Security employees up to date with seasonally available products and new products on the market.
- To conduct yearly performance appraisal and give employees regular feedback on their job performance.
- To ensure that all employees report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
- To ensure that all employees provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
- To ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel's Employee Rules & Regulations and adhere to the hotel's policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety. To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- To assume the functions and responsibilities of Manager on Duty in accordance with the General's Manager on Duty's Roster.
- Conducts and/or supervises investigations into reports made on fires, cases of theft and accidents, and thereafter, to submit the Investigation Reports to General Manager without undue delay.
- Ensures that standard of discipline and departments of all Security Personnel are maintained at all times.
- Ensures that courteous service is provided by Security Personnel to hotel guests and employees at all times.
- Reports all observed hotel property deficiencies and safety hazards.
- Maintaining of continuous surveillance of those areas that are frequently by guests and all works areas of employees.
- Ensuring uphold that all hotel rules and regulations.
- Ensuring that files and records are maintained for reference and that they are kept under lock and key and not available for browsing by subordinates.
- Performs any other related duties as may be directed by the General Manager.
- Guest Service To establish a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationship and handle all guest complaints, requests and inquiries on general security and safety of the hotel includes the surrounding vicinity.
- To be demanding and critical when it comes to service standards.
- To ensure that the division team projects a warm, professional and welcome image.
- Occasional Duties To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned. Administration .
- To ensure that all Departmental Operations Manuals are prepared and updated annually. To ensure that all Exit Pass, Property Removal forms (and other relevant documents) and reports are forwarded in time to the Executive Office.
- To ensure that all meetings are well planned, efficient and result oriented.
- To ensure that deadlines on all projects are met. General To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel's policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
- To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and nametag at all times.
- To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in the outlet and all other departments.
- To attend and contribute to all staff meetings Departmental and Hotel trainings scheduled and other related activities. To fully support the Departmental Trainers function in the Department assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in safety and security management.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing comprehensive security policies and procedures
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and mitigation strategies
- Proficiency in security management software and systems
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- In-depth understanding of local and international safety and security regulations
- Knowledge of aviation security protocols is highly desirable
- Relevant safety and security certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional, OSHA certifications)
- Experience in emergency response coordination and crisis management
- Ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed
