Position Title: Repair Technician
Reports To: After Sales Manager
Job Summary:
The Technician is responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair tasks to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The role also ensures a clean and safe work environment while complying with company procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the workshop at all times.
- Perform minor rectification works where necessary.
- Notify the Service Advisor or Sales Executive of any additional repair needs identified during servicing.
- Handle all vehicles with care while on the premises for servicing or repairs.
- Continuously upgrade and maintain knowledge and skills in vehicle servicing, repair, and maintenance.
- Execute repair and maintenance work as per the job order and follow procedures from the service manual and other HQ-approved documents.
- Use special tools where required and ensure all shop tools are in proper working condition.
- Keep the work area neat, organized, and hazard-free.
- Maintain personal and company tools in good condition and be accountable for any loss or damage.
- Supervise and provide on-the-job training to helpers or new employees when assigned.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions and team meetings.
- Inform the Technical Advisor / Job Controller upon job completion, including a clear description of the work performed.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship, and use fender covers, seat covers, and floor mats during repairs to protect customer vehicles.
- Return old/replaced parts to the customer after repairs.
- Be willing to work overtime when requested by management with reasonable notice.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Technical Advisor, Branch Head, or Executive.
Requirements:
- Proven experience or certification in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Ability to understand and follow technical instructions and repair manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to handle workshop tasks.
- Willingness to continuously learn and undergo training.
Responsible and accountable for tools and job performance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
