Responsibilities
- Provide Therapy Support
1. Assist the therapist in assessing patient’s status for suitability to start therapy sessions or continue with therapy session.
2. Prepare clients, material and equipment for assessment or therapy.
3. Assist therapists in carrying out treatment plans.
4. Perform therapy procedure according to protocol as instructed by therapists.
5. Communicate information of therapy sessions to therapists.
6. Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic interventions an instructed by the therapists.
7. Conduct basic or routine therapy.
- Support department administration and operation
1. Maintain cleanliness and safety of therapy areas.
2. Adhere to infection control procedures.
3. Maintain inventories and equipment for the department.
4. Perform administrative duties.
5. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Support specialty therapy areas
1. Assist therapist in fabricate the splint, orthosis, transferring and activities daily living.
2. Assist therapist in administrative activities etc; preparing material including photocopy, laminating, preparing worksheet.
