Job Description
As the Regional Manager – Projects and Analysis for South East and South Asia, this role encompasses the following key responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategic Direction: Provide leadership and strategic direction to category sourcing across the SESA region, specifically projects managed from this region.

Strategy Deployment: Support category teams in deploying strategies to manage regional spend, ensuring delivery of year-on-year value and measurable benefits.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including cross-functional business units, R&D, and global category leads.

Project Management: Lead and drive strategic project management initiatives with all regional vendors and selected/agreed global vendors and internal stakeholders.

Alignment with Corporate Goals: Ensure that all projects and analyses are aligned with AkzoNobel’s corporate sustainability goals.
Project Planning & Execution

Define project scope, timelines, resources, and milestones.

Develop detailed project plans and ensure on-time delivery.
Stakeholder Management

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Manage expectations and ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
Risk & Issue Management

Identify potential risks, develop mitigation plans, and address issues proactively.
Team Coordination & Leadership
-
Coordinate cross-functional teams and assign responsibilities.

Ensure team performance and motivation throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
-
Track progress against KPIs and project timelines.

Provide regular status updates and maintain all project documentation.
Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze spend data, supplier performance, and market trends to identify savings opportunities.
Cost Optimization & Value Tracking
-
Support initiatives for cost reduction, efficiency, and value creation across procurement categories.
Supplier Performance Evaluation
-
Assess supplier KPIs (cost, quality, delivery) and recommend improvements or alternatives.
Market Research & Benchmarking
-
Gather intelligence on industry trends, pricing, and innovations to support sourcing decisions.
Support Strategic Sourcing & Decision Making
-
Work closely with procurement managers to develop sourcing strategies and prepare business cases or analysis for supplier selection.
Job Requirement
-
Graduate in Science or Business Economics
-
Master’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain preferred
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management with similar complexity, spend size, and geography
-
Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
-
Proven experience in global/regional sourcing, change management, and leading strategic projects
-
Strong digital skills and adaptability to modern tools
-
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
-
Proficient in problem-solving, project management, and team building
-
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
-
Demonstrated Continuous Improvement leadership capabilities

Skilled at establishing alignment and collaboration within diverse teams
