Job Description
This role will support the Regional leadership team and the Global Risk Management teams implement the Turner & Townsend Global Ethics & Corporate Compliance framework across the Asia region. Acting as an independent business partner to the Region, the role will be a leading advocate for our Building Trust message, supporting and advising the region on internal policies and standards, providing independent feedback on regional compliance, and supporting the region in identifying and addressing regional specific Ethics & Compliance requirements.
- Ensure that Global Ethics & Compliance framework and programs are implemented and executed in line with company’s standards and corporate requirements.
- Pro-actively identify requirements for regional variations to the Global Ethics & Compliance framework.
- Agree regional priorities with the Director, Risk (Global Ethics & Corporate Compliance) and Asia Operations Director and ensure they are aligned with regional leadership.
- Business partner with the Regional Operations Director and leadership team to drive the ethics and compliance culture and foster a culture of integrity.
- Support the regional leadership to demonstrate its commitment to compliance.
- Conduct periodic Ethics & Compliance risk assessments and governance reviews, as part of Global Assessments or through regional initiatives.
- Enhance the maturity of the Regional Ethics and Compliance programme by developing clear initiatives to reduce the risk of unethical behaviour in non-compliance in the region.
- Support horizon scanning activities to identify and analyse regional emerging regulatory requirements related to Ethics and Corporate Compliance.

Lead and deliver activities to regionally implement the Global Ethics & Compliance framework, such as:
- Develop guidelines that set exemplary ethical conduct to foster a region-wide culture of compliant practices.
- Conduct periodic training and awareness campaigns.
- Advise personnel on ethical issues and concerns.

Lead on regional compliance owned activities, such as:
- fulfilling ethics & compliance training requirements in the region;
- Coordinate periodic director and employee disclosures, including follow-ups and remediation actions;
- Undertaking due diligence processes for the purposes of sanctions screening, third party due diligence, M&A activity where required;
- Approval of high risk transactions under the relevant Global Compliance policies and procedures; and
- Implementing effective conflict of interest processes.
- Undertake compliance monitoring activity to assess the implementation effectiveness of the Global Ethics and Compliance Programme, working with the Risk Management, Regional Operations Director and Compliance Programme Monitoring Lead
- Support speak up reporting and facilitating an environment that enables employees to report misconduct without fear of retaliation.
- Support the investigation of ethics and compliance allegations and breaches, including liaison with external (clients, regulatory bodies, etc.) and internal stakeholders.
- In cooperation with the Global Ethics & compliance team, develop and implement an effective Conflict of Interest framework for the region / sub-region including maintenance of a regional CoI register.
- Support the Global Ethics and Compliance team in implementing global projects and activities as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an Ethics & Compliance related role, with experience of managing Anti-Bribery and Corruption programmes.
- Ideally to be professionally qualified with a finance or legal background role e.g. a qualified accountant, auditor or lawyer; Experience of investigations processes and associated tools.
- Experience of undertaking due diligence and associated tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of labor regulations and compliance procedures.
- Ability to establish and build strong relationships and stakeholder across a diverse network.
- High level of energy, be a self-starter and prioritize a range of activities within a high-pressure environment.
- Efficiently and effectively communicate complex risk topics to non-experts.
- Proficient in English; other languages may apply, depending on regional and country expectations.
