Job Description
1.Curriculum Planning
-Develop and implement an effective and engaging curriculum that adheres to educational standards and its tailored to the specific needs and abilities of the students such as lesson plans, vertical SOWs and Horizontal SOWs
2.Classroom Management
-Create a positive and inclusive learning environment,maintaining discipline and managing student behavior effectively
3.Instruction
-Deliver clear and well structured lessons that promote student learning,critical thinking and problem solving
4.Assessment
-Evaluate student progress and academic achievement through regular assessment,tests and assignment. Provide constructive feedback to students and parents. Teacher to prepare monthly test papers, term 1 assessments, term 2 mid year examination and term 3 final year examination
5.Individualized Support
-Identify and address the unique learning needs of individual students, including those with special requirements or learning difficulties
6.Parental Communication
-Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians,providing updates on student progress and addressing their concerns and questions
7.Professional Development
-Stay current with educational trends, teaching methods,and curriculum developments. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skill
8.Collaboration
-Work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to contribute to the school’s overall academic success. Attend staff meetings and participate in school wide initiatives
9.Classroom resources
-Manage and organize classroom materials,resources and technology to enhance the learning experience
10.Events
-Assisting in setting up,organizing and managing educational activities and workshops during events. Help with event logistics,including registration,material distribution and ensuring the smooth flow of activities. Manage and organize event materials,suppliers and technology as needed. Interact with event attendances,providing information and assistance as needed
11.Duties
-Teacher are required to adhere the following rules
- Grading:Review the grade assignment,test and homework to provide feedback and track student progress
- Meeting attendance: Participate in faculty or department meetings to collaborate with colleagues ,discuss curriculum and plan school activities
- Extracurricular activities:Supervise and lead extracurricular activities ,clubs or sports team if applicable
- Tutoring and support:Provide additional support or tutoring to students who may be struggling with specific subjects or concepts
- Material Preparation:Prepare materials,resources and teaching aids for the following day’s lessons
- Report Writing:Prepare progress reports,reports card and other student related documentation
- Parent Teacher Conferences: Participate in parent teacher conferences,meeting with parents to discuss their child performance and progress
- Student Record: Maintain accurate and up to date student records and attendance records
- Arrival and Dismissal duties
- Extended program duties refer to the responsibilities that educator or program coordinator have in organizing,implementing and overseeing extended English Program
- Providing professional support extended to Prep School,Supervision and ECA (SMA)when others teacher are on leave or medical leave is critical responsibility that help maintain continuity in education
- Job Requierement
** Experiences: 2-3 years in IGCSE syllabus English Teacher; Education Level: At least Degree holder
