Job Description
1. Implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the QESH Management System.
2. Comply with client and applicable legal and other requirements.
3. Implement plan actions from risks and opportunities assessment.
4. Take responsibility and accountability for prevention of work-related injury and ill health in own specific area of work/responsibilities.
5. Continuously update and maintain Approved Suppliers List.
6. Check Purchase Requisition raised by Project Manager/Engineer.
7. Source and negotiate with supplier before submitting the summary to Purchasing Manager.
8. Generate Purchase Order after Purchasing Manager had approved the quotation.
9. Keep track on the delivery of material on site.
10. Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.
Requirements
- A recognised Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Purchasing or its equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in construction, property, or trading industries.
- Able to understand and communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers).
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing systems.
- Membership in CIM (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is an added advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,020.94 - RM4,567.55 per month
