Purchaser for Construction Company
Salary: RM3000 - RM5000 (depends on experience)
Working Location: Wangsa Maju - KL
Job Description:
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
- Source, obtaining quotation, evaluating offer, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors from Malaysia, Singapore and China.
- Manage and administer supplier contracts, including renewals and renegotiations.
- Liaise with operations and project teams on material requirements, inventory checks, and inspections.
- Track and monitor purchase requests, shipments, and deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Verify procurement documents such as POs, DOs, and invoices, and coordinate with Finance on payments.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
- Support cost control efforts and perform cost analysis.
- Assist in tender submissions with pricing and sourcing data.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and project specifications.
- Identify alternative materials or suppliers when required.
- Any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in both English and Chinese as the incumbent is required to be able to place orders on Chinese webpages and understand Chinese invoices.
- Excellent negotiation skills, great interpersonal skill, independent, organized with positive work attitude.
- Strong analytical skill.
- Highly organized and has excellent time management skills.
- Any education background or work experience in procurement or business management will be an added advantage.
- Any experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage as well.
