- Lead multiple Measurement Systems Project (local Malaysia and within the Asia Pacific) to meet customer’s specifications, project timeline, financial goals, and quality standards.
- Ensure to achieve a minimum of the As Bid Gross Profit (GP) forecasted for the respective projects.
- Acts as the point of contact among the customer, Supplier, and internal Emerson collaborators.
- Ensure timely resolution and proactive management of project-related issues to prevent and any adverse impact on overall project deliverables
- Ensure successful delivery of the project, to the Customer / Client and Emerson Leadership expectations.
- Plan and coordinate project purchases from a cost, quality & schedule perspective.
- Work with the Supply Chain organization to ensure competitive purchases to meet or exceed overall As Bid project GP.
- Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks that are likely to affect the respective projects.
- Ensure good project management standards and practices are implemented at all times, including material procurement, project implementation phase, up to the successful commissioning and close-out of the project. Ensure project execution compliance to Measurement Solutions PMO processes.
- Managing subcontractor schedules, quality-of-work, and releasing of payment based on actual completion of subcontractor’s scope of
work. - Identifying and resolving design changes across the entire project and negotiation of change orders with customers/suppliers.
- Ensure implementation of timely and accurate cost tracking mechanism of project costs.
- Responsible for project performance and forecasting reporting to the Emerson Leadership and Customer.
- Responsible for timely completion and close-out of project based on the contractual requirement, including resolution of any open items.
- Ensuring focus on understanding customer needs and solving customer problems to improve happiness.
- Continuously improve existing project management practices/processes to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Anticipates customer needs and provides services that are beyond customer expectations.
- Uses customer insights to drive and guide the development of new offerings.
- Serves as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key account
- Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, Control or Computer Engineering is preferred.
- Ideally candidates with proven experience in process control industry and project management, with at least 5 years in managing projects.
- Effective people management skills with strong interpersonal abilities across all levels.
- Strong leadership, organizational and planning skills.
- Strong commercial and financial savvy. Problem solving skills and result oriented.
