Job Description
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Versatile and technically skilled Production Technician to support manufacturing of cut paper swabs and other lab-based production activities. This role includes operating automated machinery, performing quality checks and executing basic mechanical troubleshooting. This technician will also be rotated to support tasks such as component assembly and calibrant preparation. This will be a Fixed Term Contract Role and needs to be work in Shift basis.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Operate and monitor automated machines for swab production, including material loading, machine operation, QC testing and packing.
- Perform first-line troubleshooting and basic maintenance such as changing blades, adjusting alignments and feeds, resolving machine errors, record production and quality data accurately.
- Support other lab-based production tasks, including assembling components and calibrants, handling and labeling parts for test kits.
- Maintain inventory and traceability of raw materials, ensuring proper storage and usage in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Rotate between different production areas based on operational needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with safety and quality protocols.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities related to production efficiency and quality.
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Minimum diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving automated machinery.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable with manual handling and machine operation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles including Kanban, Cycle counting, 5S
- Basic knowledge of computer applications.
