Job Description:
- Manage and coordinate with Laboratory, Process, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams on inter-related activities, including sample analysis, packaging materials, filling, maintenance & troubleshooting, and machine start-up/shutdown within the manufacturing process.
- Operate, set up, and maintain automated packaging machines (e.g., filling, labeling, capping, sealing) to meet production schedules.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure machinery runs efficiently and safely; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the production line.
- Conduct in-line quality checks, including visual inspections, weight checks, and verification of labeling/packaging details.
- Record and report quality discrepancies or deviations, and work with supervisors to resolve issues.
- Ensure accountability for production performance metrics such as OEE, AEM, production yield, and material usage.
- Prepare and manage production reports (e.g., OEE, AEM, weekly/monthly reports).
- Perform daily SAP OPO transactions, support monthly/year-end stock take, and investigate inventory variances through root cause analysis.
- Monitor and manage contractor performance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Support non-conformance handling, internal/external QESH audits, and other compliance activities.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management as required.
- Conduct Lean assessments, identify improvement opportunities, and support Lean initiatives and projects.
- Participate in departmental ad-hoc or special projects, such as new machine installation.
- Train and coach process operators and contract workers; identify skill gaps and develop training programs to meet current and future operational requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, or Manufacturing with relevant experience in a packaging production line.
- Proficient in MS Office applications with the ability to quickly learn new software or system applications as required.
- Hands-on experience with SAP OPO module is an added advantage.
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing practices and well-versed in Lean Methodology.
- Strong communication and writing skills in both Malay and English.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated, positive, and demonstrates a strong sense of ownership.
- A team player who is result-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willing to work on a shift rotation basis.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,200.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
