Job Responsibilities:
- Perform NDT inspections using methods such as Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Testing (VT).
- Inspect drill pipes, HWDP, drill collars, casing, tubing, and handling tools in accordance with industry standards (API, RP7G-2, DS-1, NS-2, etc.).
- Interpret and evaluate test results based on applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Prepare accurate and detailed inspection reports, including findings, traceability, and recommendations.
- Conduct dimensional inspections and identify defects such as mechanical damage, cracks, corrosion, and other surface/subsurface irregularities.
- Ensure all NDT equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and operating in compliance with procedures.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards, procedures, and best industry practices.
- Communicate inspection findings with relevant departments and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Maintain accurate records for traceability and quality audits.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- NDT Level II certification in MT, UT, PT, and VT (as per ASNT SNT-TC-1A or equivalent).
- API, DS-1, or NS-2 training or certification is a strong advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on NDT inspection experience in the oil & gas or drilling industry.
- Experience inspecting downhole tools and drill string components is essential.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
