Marketing & Communications Executive

As the Marketing & Communications Executive for Wanderlust + Co, you will create and execute powerful visuals and content, to our global audience of accessories lovers. You are responsible for executing on-point marketing initiatives and content across all channels, maintaining a consistent look and feel in line with the brand’s voice and growth plans. You will understand the brand’s launch calendar, creating strategic marketing plans in line with new product launches and sale campaigns, ensuring a seamless customer journey across social media, digital and offline channels.
This role will hone your skills in managing brand marketing content and assets, whilst achieving revenue and KPI targets. You will work hand in hand with the Marketing Team and CEO to optimize revenue, grow traffic and conversion via strategic content placements, and prompt communication within the team.
You will possess an exceptional command of English and good creative writing skills, as well as the ability to operate creatively and effectively. The right candidate will thrive at thinking outside the box, understand the brand’s identity, and be able to connect social content, relationships and opportunities to increase brand awareness and conversion.
To excel, you should be experienced and love social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest etc), enjoy story telling via campaigns, with acute attention to detail and genuine interest to be a team player.
Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to) –
40% - Planning
- Plan from strategy to execution of goal-focused integrated marketing campaigns and engaging content assets that will drive business impact – driving campaigns that will convert consumers from various channels on omnichannel mediums
- Assist with multi-channel content calendar to ensure that branded contents (visual and voice) are in line with brand direction and produced in a timely manner, aligning promotional efforts to meet monthly targets and business objectives across all omnichannel mediums - including retail stores, website, and latest social and e-commerce platforms (including but not limited to drop ship, wholesale etc)
- Align across departments to ensure timely and strategic content placement, support brand campaigns, lookbook and campaign shoots, launches and marketing initiatives, leveraging on data metrics to support ad-hoc improvements and business decisions.
- Work alongside Commercial team to create and develop global campaigns and launches, inclusive of concept, design, photography, videography, packaging and other visual elements with the goal of growing the brand's omnichannel positioning
- Participate in planning and executing brand events, identifying key opportunities in line with marketing goals.
- Work alongside Founder & CEO on branding projects, with a firm handle on trends, community experience, and in line with the goals of the brand and launches
- Assist Founder & CEO with personal content that aligns with brand direction, as well as channel expansion, such as podcasts, lives, TikTok and other relevant social channels
40% - Execution
- Manage social media channels to ensure marketing moments are well represented and shared with our audience (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest etc) to increase visibility, engagement and brand awareness
- Understand collection stories/campaigns and create purposeful content pitches and ideas, to drive brand awareness on independent social platforms, funnel quality traffic to site, increase direct revenue and cultivate an engaged global #WCOcommunity
- Identify and execute global viral or trending moments that are relevant to brand, including social media content and PR crisis management with timely communication
- Copywriting in line with the brand’s voice and identity (e.g. general social captions, newsletters, web copy for products and banners)
- Assist with communication of brand friends, influencers, KOLs and KOCs during key branding moments
- Working alongside Customer Service team to respond to social media comments in a timely and accurate manner in alignment with brand voice to elevate brand identity and awareness
- Assist across general marketing projects, research, and project manage across departments where required, to achieve discussed goals and targets.
20% - Brand Development & Post-Mortem
- Track and report social media and PR related analytics to ascertain content engagement levels and conversion rates, to contribute to brand positioning, develop recommendations, optimise and increase conversions via campaigns, digital marketing, eDMs, content strategy or other marketing ideas.
- Liaison with collaborators and brand partners, for strategic partnerships and placement in line with brand goals
- Conducting research on current emerging trends in the market, identifying areas for improvement or features that can be translated for brand across all omnichannel mediums - including retail stores, website, and latest social and e-commerce platforms (including but not limited to drop ship, wholesale etc)
The following skills will ensure you excel in this role -
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Communications, Marketing or related fields
- 1-2 years’ experience within the social media, digital space, fashion, PR and/or content
- Excellent command of English and strong writing skills
- A keen eye for design with Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator skills
- Ability to develop content that provokes engagement and sell-through
- Quick and strategic, plus able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced digital environment
- Be a team player with an open, honest and straight-forward style of communication
- Skilled in social media management
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
