Job Responsibilities
- Reporting & Compliance Establish, supervise, and execute accounting operations in compliance with legal and Malaysian tax regulations. Prepare documentation, accounting records, financial statements, and tax reports. Submit timely reports to the group and relevant authorities.
- Business Analysis Gain deep understanding of business operations and provide insightful recommendations based on execution. Analyze financial matters and deliver timely, effective financial and operational analysis to the management team.
- Tax & Contract Support Review contracts and approve payments while managing tax and financial risks. Provide financial and tax-related advice, and coordinate with business departments on financial and tax matters.
- Business Collaboration Collaborate closely with business units to optimize workflows, enhance efficiency, and support project execution through end-to-end financial involvement (pre-, during-, and post-project). Facilitate effective communication between business and finance teams to align goals.
- Process Management Drive interdepartmental collaboration to clarify business data and streamline processes. Work with both business and support functions to refine data logic, improve internal controls, and promote financial automation.
- Financial Training & Guidance Promote and implement financial policies and procedures. Organize training sessions and provide professional financial support and guidance to business units.
- Team & Department Management Oversee daily finance operations and team performance. Ensure the authenticity, accuracy, and completeness of financial reporting and accounting.
Job Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of financial experience in FMCG or retail chain industries.
- At least 4 years of experience in financial or business analysis with a proactive mindset and flexible thinking.
- Candidates with experience in Chinese-owned foreign enterprises are preferred.
Disqualification Criteria:
- Candidates with less than 4 years of relevant financial experience will not be considered.
Key Competencies
Professional Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Able to use data tools such as SQL, SAS, VBA, or PowerBI for data processing and analysis.
- Strong foundation in financial systems, budgeting, taxation, and integration of finance with business operations.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
Soft Skills:
- Strong execution and communication skills.
- Proactive and result-oriented with strong problem-solving ability.
- Analytical mindset with strong business acumen.
- Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal, coordination, and teamwork skills.
