Programme Overview
This 3-month Retail Management Trainee Programme is designed to groom fresh graduates and entry-level professionals into future leaders in retail operations. The program includes three structured phases:
1st Month: Theory + Practical Training
- In-depth classroom and hands-on sessions covering:
- Shop Assistant Training Programme: customer service, POS operations, merchandising
- Supervisor Training Programme: team coordination, SOP enforcement, inventory management
- Field Manager Training Programme: outlet performance, audits, leadership and compliance
- Includes role play, simulations, and shadowing opportunities
2nd Month: Management Trainee Training Program
- Assigned to a KK Supermart outlet for hands-on learning
- Perform daily tasks under supervision
- Rotate through various shifts to understand full outlet operations
- Apply learned skills in a real-world setting
3rd Month: Training At Outlet
- Take on operational responsibilities independently
- Assist outlet supervisors and managers with day-to-day decisions
- Apply leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Performance will be monitored and reviewed by the management team
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all three rotational stages
- Execute operational tasks and leadership duties based on training phase
- Analyse sales and inventory data for performance improvements
- Support promotional activities and maintain visual merchandising standards
- Drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence
- Prepare reports and share insights during progress reviews
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Retail, Marketing, or related fields
- Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply/ Minimum 3 years‘ experience in retail (preferably in FMCG, hypermarket, supermarket, or convenience store channels)
- Willing to work in shifts, on weekends, and on public holidays
- Open to relocation and travelling between outlets during the programme
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about retail operations and frontline leadership
