This is not a passive HR role. You’ll own and scale the systems, processes, and tools that keep the engine running - from onboarding and compliance to performance and culture. If you thrive on structure, speed, and solving real-world problems with a high sense of urgency, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do
i) People Systems & Process Ownership
Design, implement, and improve core People Ops processes (onboarding, offboarding, leave, benefits, performance tracking, etc.)
Maintain and optimize HR systems (e.g., BrioHR or equivalent) to drive accuracy, automation, and reporting
Ensure data integrity, compliance with labor regulations, and scalable recordkeeping practices
Own payroll processing and coordination with finance and vendors
ii) Employee Experience & Operational Support
Be the go-to person for day-to-day employee needs and questions—quick, helpful, and consistent
Partner with leads to manage performance review cycles, probation confirmations, and promotions
Drive operational efficiency in people-related policies and communication
Lead internal communications around People Ops topics (guides, processes, handbooks)
iii) Projects, Compliance & Scalability
Support company-wide initiatives, including audits, legal documentation, and employment agreements.
Build templates, trackers, and processes that reduce friction and support scale.
Anticipate operational needs as we grow across regions, functions, and employment types.
Partner with Talent Acquisition and HRBPs to ensure smooth handoffs across the employee lifecycle

What You Bring
4–6 years in People Operations, HR, or related roles, ideally in a high-growth, fast-paced company
Experience building and implementing HR systems, SOPs, and workflows from scratch
Knowledge of HR tech platforms (e.g., BrioHR, HiBob, or similar tools)
Strong understanding of Malaysian labor laws and HR compliance requirements
Proven ability to manage processes at scale with structure, clarity, and accuracy
Excellent organization, prioritization, and communication skills
Bonus: Experience supporting regional teams or building People Ops in a startup
