Roots by Kebun Kota is a café-restaurant in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. The café operates on the principle that sustainability is an attitude. Thus, we encourage sustainable practices in all throughout our management and operational chain. We sell food and beverage products made from locally and organically grown produce. Besides that, we also help local entrepreneurs sell their handmade products as part of our vendor scheme. Above all, we strive to provide our customers with a premium dine-in experience as well as to educate them on leading a sustainable lifestyle.
Full-time barista needed at Roots by Kebun Kota cafe.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in preparing ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables and other food items. Follow recipes and preparation guidelines accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of food and ensure the food safety and quality to a highest standard.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure all workstations are sanitized and follow health and safety regulations.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing inventory. Keep track of stock levels and report shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Properly dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables. Adhere to waste reduction practices.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Individuals with no experience but are willing to learn are also welcome
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Knowledgeable and passionate about cooking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self driven, motivated, team player
- Able to work under minimal supervision
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month
