Job Description: We are seeking a Junior Video Editor to join our dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the video editing process from start to finish, ensuring the creation of high-quality final cuts that align with our creative vision and project requirements. The Junior Video Editor will collaborate closely with other production teams and creatively contribute to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with production teams to understand project requirements and communicate creative vision.
• Digitally cut raw recorded materials and other files to create a narrative sequence in alignment with the script and screenplay.
• Incorporate feedback from creative leadership teams to refine edited footage.
• Sequencing of edited videos to ensure logical and sequential order.
• Assist in editing footage, sound, foley, and special effects into the final cut.
• Create assembly edits and rough cuts of content.
• Assist in conforming from offline edit to final production.
• Produce video outputs in compliance with standards and regulations.
• Perform backup of edited materials and archive as necessary.
• Execute composition of visual and audio requirements into final shots according to creative vision.
• Add subtitles, voiceover, and/or commentary to final shots.
• Refine edits based on feedback from creative leadership team.
• Trim projects and organize projects in repository.
• Create cue sheets for final productions.

Requirements:

• A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Video Production or equivalent

Experience working with video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Final Cut) Experience with DaVinci Resolve is a plus

• Strong understanding of video editing techniques and principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of video editing.
• Ability to maintain organized storage and editing of various versions of content.
• Previous experience or education in film, media, or related field is a plus.
