Position Overview:
The Technical Assistant provides remote support for the configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of camera-based access and related systems. Working from the office, you will perform system settings, diagnose issues, guide on-site technicians through installations, and ensure seamless integration with backend platforms. You will also produce regular reports—weekly or monthly—according to management directives.
Key Responsibilities
● Remote Configuration & Commissioning
○ Apply firmware updates, adjust image-capture parameters (focus, exposure, illumination) and manage device settings via remote access tools.
○ Arranging and assisting in giving step-by-step instructions to on-site personnel for camera placement.
● System Monitoring & Preventive Maintenance
○ Monitor performance dashboards and logs to track uptime, error codes and capture rates.
○ Schedule and execute routine maintenance tasks remotely (e.g., software patching, parameter refreshes).
○ Proactively identify potential issues and implement configuration changes to maintain optimal performance.
● Troubleshooting & Technical Support
○ Diagnose software and network-related faults (connectivity drops, capture failures) using command-line and GUI tools.
○ Resolve Tier-1 incidents directly; escalate complex cases to engineering teams with detailed diagnostic reports.
○ Coordinate emergency support during critical system outages, liaising with on-site staff or technicians.
● Integration Verification & Reporting Documentation
○ Generate regular system-health and performance reports (capture accuracy, network metrics).
○ Produce customized weekly or monthly reports as directed by management, incorporating key KPIs and trend analyses.
○ Maintain logs and audit trails for compliance and management review.
○ Develop and maintain configuration guides and troubleshooting checklists.
● Communication with Operations Managers
○ Liaising with the respective Operations Managers regarding system or technical issues, and coordinating necessary arrangements and support.
Required Qualifications
● Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
● Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, PoE) and experience with switch/router configuration.
● Proficiency with Windows and Linux environments, including remote-access and diagnostic tools.
● Familiarity with RESTful APIs, database query tools (SQL) or equivalent integration methods.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,900.00 per month
