Al-Ma'arifa International School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Islamic Studies Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Islamic knowledge, the ability to teach with clarity, compassion, and creativity, and a commitment to nurturing students’ spiritual, moral, and academic growth. This role will involve delivering high-quality instruction, inspiring students to practice Islamic values, and supporting their overall character development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Islamic Studies aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
- Teach Qur’an recitation, memorization (Tajweed), Hadith, Fiqh, Seerah, and Islamic values at an age-appropriate level.
- Foster a supportive and respectful classroom environment that encourages students to practice and embody Islamic manners and ethics.
- Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ grades, attendance, and progress in Islamic Studies.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to strengthen learning and spiritual development.
- Participate in faculty meetings, training programs, and professional development sessions.
- Lead or assist in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), including Islamic events, competitions, or community service initiatives.
- Supervise students during assigned duties, ensuring their safety, discipline, and well-being, and fulfill substitution duties when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Strong knowledge of Qur’an, Sunnah, Fiqh, and Islamic history, with the ability to teach in a balanced and age-appropriate manner.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire students to live by Islamic values and demonstrate good character.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching and learning.
- Fluency in Arabic is highly preferred; good command of English is required.
Working Hours:
Monday – Friday: 7:40 AM – 2:30 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,400.00 per month
