We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, customer service, and operational skills to ensure high guest satisfaction and efficient team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Oversee all departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, and Security.
- Monitor day-to-day operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective performance.
- Ensure the property is well-maintained and compliant with health and safety standards.
Guest Relations
- Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by handling complaints professionally and ensuring excellent service.
- Regularly interact with guests to obtain feedback and make necessary improvements.
Staff Management
- Lead, train, and evaluate hotel staff.
- Prepare staff duty rosters, manage manpower planning, and ensure sufficient staffing across departments.
- Enforce discipline and drive a positive, team-based work environment.
Financial Management
- Manage the hotel budget, control expenses, and optimize profit margins.
- Monitor room occupancy, average room rates (ARR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR).
- Review financial reports and work with the accounts team to track performance and suggest improvements.
Sales & Marketing
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to increase bookings and promote hotel packages.
- Support MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) and corporate partnerships.
- Identify new business opportunities and oversee promotional strategies.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements.
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to management.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of hotel management experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is a plus).
- Proficient in hotel systems (PMS, POS) and Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions:
- Willing to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays.
- On-call for emergencies or urgent hotel matters.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
