DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To be responsible for the suggestion of menu items be it food or beverage.
- To take every opportunity to upsell on all menu items.
- To take each guests food / beverage orders and to repeat the order accordingly to avoid any confusion.
- To enter such orders into the P.O.S.system as per the training standard so that each order has the correct table number and position number.
- To instruct the Waiter/Waitress to lay the correct flatware as per each guests order.
- To ensure table is set with the correct covers.
- To follow up that the service staff serve the appropriate dishes/drinks accordingly.
- To ensure that service stations are kept clean, organized and re-stocked throughout the meal period.
- To review each guest check in his station before presenting it to the guest upon request.
- To present, open and serve wine as per standard. To take notice when bottle is
- almost empty so as to offer the guests the option of ordering another bottle.
- To answer the telephone and take reservations as per the hotel standard.
- To assign table duties to Waiter/Waitress or casual workers.
- To set V.I.P and supervise accordingly.
- To ensure that all table flowers in his/her section is up to acceptable standard
- and replace as needed.
- To maintain guest relations.
- To ensure total guest satisfaction.
- To LISTEN to guest complaints and handle immediately either on his/her own,
- or by seeking the Outlet Manager or the Assistant Outlet Manager.
- To be in-charge of a section or a number of tables as scheduled.
- To maintain team cooperation.
- To perform other duties a may be assigned.
- To follow-up the restaurant checklist daily.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
