Role Summary
To maintain the operational effectiveness of the organization's information technology systems and ensure the security of IT infrastructure across the Asian region, while being a backup for the other Group IT administrators. This role involves supporting regional offices, managing IT assets and platforms, implementing group IT policies, and contributing to the overall efficiency and security of the company's network, systems, and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Receives requests and instructions from the Group IT Director, regional office contacts, the IT support system, and updates from technology vendors
- Adheres to and implements directives from the Group IT Director.
- Takes initiative in implementing local fixes and solutions that align with group IT strategy and do not compromise system integrity and security.
- Implements changes and updates to enforce group IT policies.
- Willingness to work outside regular business hours as needed for system maintenance, emergencies, or project deadlines.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken). & Technical English proficiency.
- Strong knowledge of firewall technologies (e.g., Clavister).
- Experience in network infrastructure management (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).
- In-depth knowledge of IT security principles and practices.
- Proficiency in administering Google Workspace.
- Proficiency in diagnosing network, system, and application failures and implementing effective solutions.
- Ability to conduct IT audits and assist with compliance requirements.
- Expertise in the operational maintenance of IT infrastructures.
- Skills in network design and configuration (e.g., VLAN).
- Ability to stay current with technical, economic, and regulatory changes in the IT field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences.
- Strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing abilities.
- A proactive approach to learning new technologies and procedures.
- Effective prioritization and time-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and manage stress in critical situations.
- Strong team player.
EXPERIENCES REQUIRED
- 5-8 years of experience in IT administration, network and system support.
- Experience with cloud platform administration and maintenance (e.g., AWS, or other relevant cloud environments).
- Experience with JIRA Service Management.
- Experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting to end-users.
- Experience with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
