Job Summary:
UCSI Schools is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join our team and teach across both primary and secondary levels. The ideal candidate will foster a deep appreciation for geographical concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and inspire a strong awareness of the environment and global issues among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and curriculum-aligned Geography lessons for primary and secondary students.
- Design lesson plans, instructional resources, and assessments in line with national curriculum standards (KSSR/KSSM).
- Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and academic support to encourage growth.
- Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active participation, respect, and curiosity.
- Integrate environmental awareness, spatial thinking, and cultural understanding into daily teaching.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity in the Geography curriculum across grade levels.
- Participate in school events, co-curricular programs, parent-teacher conferences, and other community or school-based activities.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on best practices and trends in Geography education.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Education, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Diploma in Education, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching Geography at both primary and secondary levels.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to encourage critical thinking, spatial analysis, and appreciation for environmental issues and global interconnections.
- Passionate about education and committed to nurturing the holistic development of students.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
