Job Summary:
As a Front of House Staff member at our gym, you will be the first point of contact for members and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Your role is vital in creating a welcoming, friendly, and safe environment, helping members feel valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome members and visitors warmly as they enter the gym.
- Manage membership check-ins, sign-ups, and renewals efficiently.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information about gym facilities, classes, and services.
- Handle member concerns or escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and front desk.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, class bookings, and gym tours.
- Process payments and manage cash/transactions accurately.
- Enforce gym policies and ensure member compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Support gym staff and trainers with administrative tasks as needed.
- Monitor and restock retail items and promotional materials.
- Contribute to creating a positive and motivating atmosphere in the gym.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in customer service or front desk roles, preferably in a fitness or health environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with booking and payment systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Passion for health and fitness is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
