Freelance Video Editor (Bridal & Creative Content)

■Job Summary

WE’VE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our team in Kuala Lumpur on a freelance contract. You will be responsible for editing wedding videos for Japanese couples.

■Responsibilities

(PC will be provided by the company, and editing work will be performed at the office.)

・Editing of short highlight videos.

・Collaboration with our Japan headquarters via cloud tools.

・Editing work according to editing guidelines and story flows.

・Adding music, transitions, and motion effects.

・Ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality video content is delivered.

・Note: The video footage will be of Japanese weddings, but no subtitle work is required. The focus is on video editing tasks.

■Equipment & Software

・You will use a company-provided PC and an Adobe Premiere Pro license.

・For security reasons, you are not permitted to use personal PCs or privately-owned software for editing.

■Security and Work Rules

・Transferring work data to external devices is strictly prohibited.

・After delivery, you will be instructed to delete the video data.

・We conduct bi-monthly status checks to ensure security compliance.

■Project Schedule

・Delivery Deadline: 6:00 PM on the same day the project is assigned.

WE’VE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. was established in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as a group company of WE’VE Inc. (headquartered in Osaka, Japan), which specializes in bridal video services in Japan. We serve as a creative team dedicated to producing high-quality video content for the Japanese market, with close collaboration between our local staff and our Japan headquarters.

WE’VE Inc. operates primarily through "Omoide Plus Movie," a popular Japanese bridal video service. We film and edit wedding day footage to deliver cherished memories to our clients. We partner with wedding venues and bridal companies across Japan to create video masterpieces that beautifully capture guests' messages and the emotions of the day. Our Malaysia office collaborates with our Japan headquarters to build a professional team specializing in video editing.

■Qualifications

・Practical skills in Adobe Premiere Pro.

・A strong sense of responsibility to strictly adhere to deadlines and accurately follow instructions.

・The ability to maintain data confidentiality and comply with internal company rules.

・The ability to communicate in English (Japanese is not required).

・Must be a resident of Malaysia (residents in the KL area are welcome).

Preferred Experience

・Basic understanding of Japanese.

・Over 1 year of experience using Adobe Premiere Pro.

■Compensation

Compensation varies depending on the content of the video created.

・Per project: RM41.70 (Sample video creation, estimated time: 1.5 hours)

・Per project: RM166.8 (Main video creation, estimated time: 6 hours)

・Payment is processed at the end of the month and disbursed by the end of the following month (no invoice submission is required; a notification will be sent on the 5th of each month).

■Selection Process

・Selection Flow: Document Screening → Interview (1 round)

・The interview will be conducted online via Google Meet.

・Questions can be asked during the interview.

・Please wear casual attire for the interview.

・Items to bring on the day

As part of the selection process, we will conduct an Adobe Premiere Pro skill check. 　　Please bring a PC with a licensed version of Adobe Premiere Pro installed, or if you do 　not have one, we will arrange for the test to be conducted in-person at our office.
