Key Responsibilities
Payment Processing & Cash Flow Management
- Oversee inbound and outbound payments, ensuring accurate recording and alignment with payment schedules
- Verify vendor invoices, liaise with vendors to resolve payment disputes and monitor cash flows
- Lead settlement department, ensuring compliance with cash flow policies and industry best practices
Back Office & Middle Office Financial Operations
- Manage daily financial transactions, including trade recording, reconciliations and General ledger
- Ensure compliance with AML/KYC regulations and coordinate with the middle office on risk management
- Supervise back-office operations to align with company policies and accounting standards
Financial Reporting
- Oversee month-end closing and prepare financial statements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
- Lead preparation of audited financial statements, consolidation reports and management announcements
Compliance, Internal Controls & Audit
- Develop, implement and monitor internal controls, SOPs and segregation of duties to mitigate risks
- Liaise with external auditors and maintain strong relationships with authorities
Discrepancy Resolution & Financial Governance
- Investigate & resolve financial discrepancies, enforcing corrective actions across the finance function
- Review Accounts receivable and payable reconciliation, ensure accuracy of financial records and maintain integrity of financial reporting
Risk Management & Strategic Financial Planning
- Identify financial risks including market, currency, operational risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and support investment decisions
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in financial management or accounting
- Experience leading and managing teams for month-end closing and financial reporting
- Prior experience in commodities, precious metals, or financial services sector is valued
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Solid understanding of tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with senior management, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical financial practices.
