Job Description
About the Role
We are hiring a high-potential Finance Business Partnering Analyst in Malaysia to join our Strategic Finance team, supporting financial performance, strategic planning, and executive decision-making. This role offers structured, rotational exposure across business units (e.g., Platform, Recommerce) — providing ambitious talent with a powerful launchpad into a career in strategic finance, business partnering, or corporate development.
Whether you're an early-career finance professional, a sell-side analyst, or a business analyst or consultant with strong commercial instincts, this role offers hands-on experience in shaping financial narratives and driving impact at the group level.
You will collaborate closely with both the Singapore and Malaysia-based teams, supporting cross-functional workstreams across growth, planning, and performance. Importantly, your work will directly contribute to board materials, investor updates, and strategic presentations — not just back-end data prep.
Key Responsibilities
Rotational Business Partnering & Strategic Support
Support a rotational model that provides exposure across verticals (e.g., Platform, Recommerce), ensuring a group-wide perspective and avoiding BU silos.
Analyze P&L trends, performance drivers, and variances; help surface insights that guide resource trade-offs and strategic decisions.
Modeling & Planning
Build dashboards and models to support scenario planning, channel performance tracking, and operational optimization.
Contribute to Long-Term Planning (LTP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) cycles through structured financial analysis and model consolidation.
Investment & Initiative Support
Assist with the creation and tracking of strategic investment cases and high-impact growth initiatives.
Strategic Narrative & Executive Reporting
Collaborate with the Business Partnering Manager to shape board decks, investor updates, and CEO/CFO briefing materials.
Move beyond data prep to help construct cohesive, insight-driven financial narratives.
Regional Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work
Partner with stakeholders across Malaysia and Singapore, supporting projects that span finance, strategy, and growth teams.
Work with business leads to gather qualitative context and align BU priorities with group objectives.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in FP&A, business analysis, consulting, or corporate strategy.
We welcome talent from finance, consulting, or data-heavy business analysis backgrounds with strong commercial acumen.
Prior experience in tech, platforms, e-commerce, or sell-side equity research is advantageous.
Strong Excel and modeling capabilities; experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Jedox is a plus.
Excellent synthesis, communication, and presentation skills — with a genuine interest in financial storytelling and strategic influence.
Exposure to pricing and productivity analysis, such as reviewing sales data, tracking performance against targets, and understanding commission models.
Experience or interest in analyzing offline retail store performance, focusing on key metrics like customer footfall, conversion rates, store sales, and inventory efficiency.
Comfortable working across regions in a collaborative, high-performance culture.
