Our client is a leading metal provider in Malaysia since 1976 with over 40 years experience in the metal fabrication industry, with over 200 manufacturing facilities & 400 skilled professionals.
The Finance and Accounts Manager is responsible for managing the organization's finance & accounts to ensure adherence to company policies & procedure, statutory requirements & approved accounting standards.
Authorities
- to review financial statements, annual budget, finance planning, tax filing & planning.
- to perform cash flow planning & planning.
- to set internal control process, policies & standard operating procedures.
- to liaise with tax authorities, external auditors, company secretary, corporate adviser , financial institutions etc.
Key responsibilities
Financial planning analysis
- to lead budgeting, forecasting & financial planning processes.
- to analyse financial data for insights and recommendation for decision making.
Accounting operations
- to oversee accounts payable, receivables, general ledger etc to ensure accurate & timely preparations of financial statements.
Treasury & Banking
- to oversee daily treasury & banking activities including payments to supplier, bank borrowing & banking matters.
- to ensure effective treasury management to optimise financial resources & manage financial risks.
- to maintain good relationship with all bankers.
Cash flow Management
- to monitor cash flow, optimise working capital & manage liquidity to meet financial obligations & business operation needs
- to foresee funding requirements & evaluate funding options for support of business operations.
Financial Management
- to provide management reporting on company's financial performance review & budget reporting.
- to evaluate & recommend financial strategies to enhance company profitability & to support company financial goals.
Compliance & reporting
- to ensure compliance with internal policies, tax regulations & accounting
standards(MFRS).
- to coordinate with external financial audit & company tax filing to ensure
compliance with regulatory filing deadline.
Internal control & risk management
- to develop, implement & monitor internal control processes to mitigate compliance and fraud risks in finance & accounting activities.
- to monitor & manage control risks, ensuring proper safeguard for good governance.
Financial reporting
- to perform analytical review on financial statements to detect errors & discrepancies for immediate rectifications.
- to ensure quality & reliability of financial report, made available timely to management for business decision making.
Team leaderships & development
- to lead, mentor & develop the team, ensuring optimal performance & professional growth of entire team.
- to delegate tasks & responsibilities effectively, ensuring accountability within the team.
Reporting line & team size
- reporting directly to CEO.
- managing a team of 5 staff.

Experience
- minimum of 8-10 relevant working experience in finance & accounting, with at least 3 years in managerial role.
- prior experience in financial planning, analysis & reporting.
- prior experience in manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- prior knowledge of relevant financial software & system in SAP & Autocount environment.
- prior experience in a rapidly growing company is a plus point.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to RM11,000.00 per month
