JOBS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall coordinate, support, and provide expert advice to the business on all matters related to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). Establish, manage, and monitor HSE standards, processes, communication strategies, training programs, and systems to ensure full compliance with health and safety responsibilities and regulations
- Key PIC for the company’s workplace safety and health management and environmental controls for both Johor and Selangor plants.
- Implement annual in-house and external safety training to reduce accidents and provide safety briefings for visitors, contractors, and third-party providers.
- Advise on the inspection and adjustment of safety systems, equipment, and machinery.
- PIC for the emergency procedures and response plans.
- Coordinate accident investigations with government officers and lead internal investigations into accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts.
- Responsible to apply for and renew health, safety, and environmental licenses and permits.
- Maintain safety-related documentation and certificates (e.g., fire safety, LEV test, ERP certificate).
- Assist with vehicle safety checks and monitor truck conditions, ensuring compliance with safety rules.
- PIC for the company’s fire safety equipment ensuring the BOMBA and JKKP compliance are in place.
- Liaise with the local authorities (Bomba/JKKP/DOE, etc.), vendors, and consultants for the annual compliance audit.
- To educate staff on safety rules and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report safety violations and advise management on corrective actions.
- Discharge water pump tanks monthly and perform fire safety inspections.
- Suggest safety programs and training to promote awareness of health and safety policies.
- Served as secretary for the Safety & Health Committee.
- Oversee ISO compliance and educate staff about business processes and risk management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, including ensuring compliance with relevant laws and evaluating safety practices.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma / Professional Degree in Safety Health & Environment or equivalent.
- At least 2 years (s) of working experience in the manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Language proficiency: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Able work with minimum supervision.
