About the Role:
HCL Technologies Malaysia is looking for an experienced Data Developer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. You’ll work on innovative data integration and transformation projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams across Malaysia and Europe. This role involves building and optimizing robust ETL pipelines using Talend Big Data, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and governance in support of enterprise analytics and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:·
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues ensuring data consistency
- Develop and maintain ETL processes using Talend Big Data
- Optimize and monitor data pipelines for performance and compliance
- Collaborate with global teams to resolve production issues
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and enrichment
- Support data migration from legacy systems to cloud platforms
- Ensure documentation, governance, and security adherence in ETL workflows.
Required Skills:·
- Bachelor’s in computer science, Data Science, or related field
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Developer (banking/finance domain preferred)
- Proficient in ETL tools (Talend Big Data), Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala)
- Strong SQL skills with performance tuning experience
- Understanding of relational and columnar databases
- Familiarity with Data Lakes and distributed data processing
- Exposure to tools like Attunity, Vertica, Snowflake, Kafka, StreamSets
- Experience with Agile, Git, Jenkins, and Docker is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and autonomous working ability
- Certifications in data tools or platforms are an added advantage
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
