Job Descriptions:
- Conduct regular site inspections and follow up actions to ensure compliance with legal requirements, EIA Approval Condition, EMP (Environmental Management Plan) and audits to identify potential environmental risks and develop appropriate control measures.
- Update any new regulations announced by Department of Environment (DOE) / Natural Environmental and Resources Board (NREB) and other authorities relating to the Environmental.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to environmental regulations, standards, and project-specific environmental requirements.
- Conduct environmental assessments and impact studies for construction projects to identify potential environmental risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) and procedures to mitigate adverse environmental impacts during project execution.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and environmental consultants, to ensure compliance with permits and regulations.
- Remain up-to-date on changes in safety regulations and ensure that the site adheres to updated requirements.
- Recommend corrective measures to prevent recurrence and enhance safety protocols.
- § Support the establishment and upkeep of processes for hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Ensure that appropriate control measures are in place to manage identified risks effectively.
- Address and rectify any safety issues identified during inspections.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections to detect potential hazards and confirm compliance with safety standard.
- Compile incident reports and lead investigations into workplace accidents, injuries, or near-misses to identify root causes.
- Organize and conduct safety training programs for all personnel to cultivate a culture of safety on-site.
- Act as the primary liaison with DOSH and other relevant authorities for audits, inspections, and compliance-related matters.
- Advise the project team on necessary actions to enhance safety practices and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Environmental Officer in the construction industry.
- Competent in Malaysia safety regulations and standards.
- Position to be based in Miri, Sarawak.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
