ENVIRONMENTAL OFFCER (EO)

• Job Scope / Responsibilities:
• Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure the company complies with all environmental regulations and legislation (e.g., DOE, EQA 1974 in Malaysia).
• Liaise with local authorities, regulatory agencies, and auditors regarding environmental matters.
• Maintain and renew necessary environmental licenses, permits, and reports.
• Environmental Monitoring
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and sampling of air, water, and waste to ensure compliance.
• Monitor environmental aspects and impacts, including pollution levels, noise, emissions, and waste management practices.
• Environmental Management System (EMS)
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001 or similar).
• Prepare and update documentation such as the Environmental Policy, Objectives, Aspects Register, and Emergency Response Plan.
• Waste Management
• Oversee the segregation, storage, transport, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of waste in accordance with regulations.
• Training and Awareness
• Conduct environmental awareness training for staff and contractors.
• Promote environmental best practices and sustainability initiatives within the organization.
• Reporting and Documentation
• Prepare periodic environmental reports (e.g., Environmental Monitoring Reports, Scheduled Waste Reports).
• Maintain records of inspections, permits, waste disposal, and compliance assessments.
• Incident Management
• Investigate environmental incidents, spills, and non-compliance cases.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate environmental risks.
• Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for environmental improvement and recommend sustainable practices.
• Participate in green initiatives, energy conservation programs, and carbon footprint reduction efforts.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
