The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for leading and managing the hotel’s sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue, increase market share, and enhance brand awareness. This role plays a vital part in developing and executing strategic sales plans, driving marketing initiatives, and fostering key relationships to position the brand competitively in the market.
This position will be based at VE Hotel & Residence and will oversee sales and marketing activities for all hotels under UOA Hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals across all segments (Corporate, MICE, Leisure, OTA, etc.).
- Plan and oversee marketing campaigns to promote hotel services and enhance brand visibility.
- Collaborate with PR agencies, digital marketers, and other stakeholders to execute effective campaigns.
- Ensure all marketing materials and communications are aligned with brand standards.
- Work closely with Revenue Management and Reservations to optimize pricing and profitability.
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and forecast future demand.
- Prepare departmental budgets and monitor expenses to ensure positive ROI.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with travel agencies, DMCs, corporate clients, and other business partners.
- Serve as the primary contact for high-value clients and key accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to meet and exceed targets.
- Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies to maintain competitive edge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in hotel sales and marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and managing high-performance teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Opera Sales & Catering), and OTA platforms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to market changes.
