The Integrity team is dedicated to safeguarding our users on Grab. We use our datasets to address multiple challenges, from ensuring safety to preventing fraud. We are involved in the entire data lifecycle, including analyzing user behavior, identifying anomalies, and developing detection and prevention modules for suspicious activities. If you're enthusiastic about solving complex problems that have a direct, real-world impact, we'd love to have you on board!
Get to Know the Role
Reporting to the Senior Analytics Manager in the Integrity team (Trust, Identity & Safety), you will take part in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks through advanced data analysis techniques. Your insights will guide strategies to safeguard our diverse user base from multiple types of fraud and risk.
This role is based onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data to identify patterns, trends, and potential risks.
- You will develop and maintain statistical models and algorithms to assess different types of risks (e.g., credit, market, or operational)
- You will create comprehensive reports and data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management strategies.
- You will evaluate the effectiveness of risk models and make necessary adjustments.
- You will assist in the development of risk management policies and procedures.
- You will Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making processes.
- You will contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and analysis methodologies.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 2 years in data analysis especially in risk analytics
- Proficient in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, and R
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Expertise in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
- Understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies
- Experience working with large datasets and complex data structures
- Knowledge of financial risk management principles, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the financial sector
