Lapasar is one of Malaysia's fastest-growing startups and a business-to-business (B2B) sector, focusing on providing procurement solutions. Lapasar Sdn Bhd's platform allows businesses to order various products, including office supplies, stationery, IT equipment, and other business-related materials. This platform typically aims to reduce the complexities of traditional procurement processes and create a more transparent, efficient purchasing experience. In 2018, Lapasar started as a B2B platform in the corporate segment. Our clients, such as Telekom Malaysia, PETRONAS, or Tenaga Nasional Berhad buy items for their daily operational needs (e.g., laptops, projectors, office furniture, etc.) from our platform.
In 2020, the B2B platform was extended to serve Mom and Pop stores, whereby shops order their supplies (e.g., Milo, Nescafe, Red Bull, etc.) via our app/platform. Today, the FMCG Wholesale Segment is the key pillar of Lapasar’s business and growth. We aim to onboard 100,000+ mom-and-pop stores and restaurants across Malaysia onto our mobile app and make their daily ordering of stocks as easy and simple as Shopee or Lazada has made the experience in the consumer e-commerce space.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Sourcing Execution
- Respond promptly and accurately to client RFQ tickets, ensuring competitive quotes are sourced and submitted in alignment with pricing & margin targets
- Support Benchmarking Projects, ensuring accurate, up-to-date market comparisons are delivered within established resolution timelines.
- Manage Product Upload Projects, ensuring new or updated items are uploaded to the Marketplace accurately and within SLA, on behalf of vendors.
- Attend General Support Tickets and sourcing-related queries, ensuring fast turnaround and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Assist in the end-to-end completion of pre / post client onboarding projects, ensuring they meet the required client price and GP targets set by the organisation.
Vendor & Product Management
- Assist in onboarding new vendors by coordinating documentation, compliance checks, and system registration, contributing to the New Vendor Onboarding Completion Rate KPI.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier and product data across sourcing platforms and the Marketplace to support smooth procurement operations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to monitor and ensure timely delivery of goods, supporting fulfillment accuracy and enabling sales realization across all client segments.
- Support supplier communication and issue resolution to ensure continuity of supply and alignment with client requirements.
Sales & Client Enablement Support
- Provide sourcing support to help drive Total Sales, including Trading Sales and Trading GR, by ensuring timely quote responses and competitive pricing.
- Work closely with internal teams to maintain product availability, pricing accuracy, and margin alignment that support Active Monthly Users and drive Marketplace usage across the clientele.
Sourcing Responsibilities:
- Timely Response: Commit to responding to all sourcing-related tickets (RFQs, benchmarking, uploads, vendor inquiries) within defined SLA.
- Accuracy First: Ensure pricing, product data, and vendor details are checked thoroughly before submission or upload.
- Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of assigned sourcing tasks until completed and closed, escalating when needed.
- Collaboration: Communicate proactively with internal teams (commercial, operations, client support) to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Confidentiality & Fairness: Handle supplier and pricing data with discretion and without bias; submit all quotes and pricing neutrally, without prejudice.
- Continuous Improvement: Seek ways to improve efficiency in sourcing operations, vendor coordination, and ticket handling.
Salary Range : RM2,500 - RM3,500
Working hours & days : Monday-Friday 9am-6pm
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
- Typically, 2–3 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in a corporate or B2B environment.
- Minimum Diploma or Degree are encouraged to apply
- Encouraging Malaysian to apply due to local based business nature
