Responsibilities:
- Provide planned teaching to students, monitor performance on a daily basis, and deliver constructive feedback throughout the learning process.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of individual student needs and adapt teaching accordingly.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans (both long-term and short-term) in line with curriculum requirements.
- Deliver engaging lessons based on the IGCSE and Oxford International Curriculum, integrating Finnish methodology where relevant.
- Assess and record students’ achievement levels, maintain accurate grades and attendance, and prepare performance reports for parents.
- Mark work promptly and provide descriptive written and verbal feedback.
- Apply varied teaching techniques and resources to suit students’ learning styles and capabilities.
- Maintain an orderly, positive learning environment and implement effective classroom management strategies.
- Uphold school rules, policies, and disciplinary measures both inside and outside the classroom.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development, and extra-curricular activities.
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
Highly Recommended Experience:
- Teaching experience in UK secondary board curriculum for Computing, Computer Science, or ICT (Oxford preferred).
- Other teaching experience in a related subject or field.
Curriculum Knowledge / Specialisations (by level):
Lower Secondary (Oxford International Curriculum Computing)
- Familiarity with or willingness to update knowledge in:
- Finnish methodology (team teaching, activity-based learning, transversal concepts).
- Digital Data: Binary maths and basic data encoding.
- Online safety and digital literacy (search, AI, etc.).
- Computer Hardware, Software, and Networks.
- Introduction to programming (Scratch to Python, Computational Thinking).
- Multimedia (Podcasting and Video Editing).
- Office Applications (MS Office or GSuite).
- Web Page Design (basic HTML & CSS).
Upper Secondary (IGCSE – Oxford AQA International GCSE Computer Science)
- Binary Mathematics, Data Encoding & Compression.
- Computational Thinking and Common Algorithms.
- Cyber Security (Threats, Social Engineering, Malware, Network Security, Encryption).
- Python Programming.
- Web Page Design (basic HTML & CSS).
- Databases and Querying (basic SQL).
- Computer Organisation and Architecture.
Requirements:
- A recognized Teaching Qualification.
- Degree or Diploma in a related field (preferably in Engineering, Computing, or IT).
- Minimum 4–5 years of teaching experience, ideally in an international school environment.
- Familiarity with IGCSE / Oxford International Curriculum preferred.
- Strong classroom management and effective communication skills.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
