Job Summary:
We are seeking a Competent Electrical (PW2) Wireman to join our Facilities Management team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical installation and maintenance of low voltage (LV) systems. This role involves assisting in maintaining electrical safety, reliability, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations. We are looking for candidates who are available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic electrical wiring, installation, and maintenance tasks in accordance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations.
- Assist in routine inspections and troubleshooting of electrical systems such as lighting, switches, sockets, and distribution boards.
- Support senior wiremen and technicians in repair works and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure all electrical work is carried out safely and with proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any faults or hazards.
- Follow work orders and complete documentation for tasks completed, including inspection and service reports.
- Assist in the installation and testing of electrical components for new or replacement systems.
- Observe all safety, health, and environmental policies during daily operations.
- Support emergency response or facility shutdowns as needed.
Requirements:
- Certified as a PW2 Competent Electrical Wireman by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
- Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in electrical installation or maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of low voltage (LV) systems and electrical components.
- Familiarity with electrical tools and safety procedures.
- Able to read basic electrical wiring diagrams.
- Physically fit, responsible, and able to work under supervision.
- Strong work ethic, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Experience in facility maintenance or commercial building environment is an added advantage.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
