RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION
To assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries and desserts under the guidance of senior pastry chefs, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and adherence to food safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Assist in mise en place for pastry production, including weighing, mixing, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section, adhering to HACCP and food hygiene standards.
- Support senior chefs in daily operations and contribute to smooth kitchen workflow.
- Label and date all food items to ensure proper stock rotation and minimize waste.
- Monitor equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Participate in daily briefings and training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
- Assist in inventory checks and requisitioning supplies for the pastry section.
- Uphold grooming standards and comply with kitchen opening/closing procedures.
Requirements
- Basic culinary training or certification preferred (e.g., Diploma in Pastry Arts).
- Prior experience in a pastry kitchen is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, dessert plating, and food safety practices.
- Ability to follow instructions, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
