Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Account Manager or Executive with strong technical knowledge in insurance policies, specifically in the Employee Benefits (EB) space. This role involves managing the end-to-end servicing of client accounts, including handling renewals, preparing reporting packages, and supporting client briefings, workshops, and other communications.
The ideal candidate will act as the day-to-day contact for assigned clients, ensuring a high standard of service delivery while also demonstrating a solid understanding of EB products such as group medical, life, personal accident, disability, and other workplace benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Servicing & Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate clients.
Manage and resolve client queries on policy coverage, claims, and benefit structures.
Develop trusted relationships through timely communication and quality delivery.
Coordinate and attend client meetings, briefings, and onboarding sessions.
- Policy & Technical Support
Provide guidance on insurance plan design, pricing, and underwriting terms.
Prepare and explain plan comparisons, benefit summaries, and renewal terms.
Collaborate with insurers and TPAs on policy placements, endorsements, and claims handling.
- Renewal Management
Drive the annual renewal process, including data gathering, market engagement, and renewal negotiations.
Present renewal strategies and recommendations clearly to clients.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of renewal terms and agreements.
- Reporting & Analysis
Produce client reports such as claims utilization summaries, insurer performance reports, and cost trend analyses.
Track and interpret data to support client decision-making and benefit optimization.
Present findings in client-friendly formats, including slides and dashboards.
- Client Education & Communication
Support the delivery of employee briefings, HR workshops, and wellness talks.
Prepare presentations, FAQs, and benefit communications for employees.
Assist clients in benefit rollout and change management communication.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, HR, or related field.
Certification in insurance preferred.
- Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in client servicing or account management, preferably in an Employee Benefits brokerage, insurer, or TPA environment.
Strong understanding of EB insurance products: medical, life, accident, disability, etc.
- Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and insurance software tools.
Able to interpret policy terms and communicate them to clients with clarity.
