Batik Artist
Oversees and leads the development and execution of our batik workshops and batik at our studio, as well as online and off-site, both for individuals and corporations. It is our desire to teach customers about the art of batik, the story of our social impact, and provide them with a fun space to experiment as artists themselves.
What You’ll Do:
- Train and mentor new batik artists, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and service.
- Develop and suggest new workshop products based on customer feedback and market trends.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and fully stocked supply cabinet.
- Schedule and update all workshops on the company calendar.
- Ensure a seamless workshop setup and consistent execution in the studio.
- Conduct engaging and interactive workshops for participants.
- Collect and manage participant reviews for continuous improvement.
- Guide participants through the entire workshop process, from start to product collection.
- Submit weekly, monthly, and yearly reports to management.
- Perform quality checks, process, and package fabrics received from suppliers.
- Conduct monthly stock takes for workshop and production supplies.
- Collaborate with managers to implement company policies and achieve operational goals.
- Attend all assigned training sessions and professional development programs.
- Maintain product knowledge and uphold cleanliness across all workspaces.
- Work closely with the production team to enhance workflow, efficiency, and quality control.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Batik or equivalent
- Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia
- Positive attitude, passionate about collaborative teamwork, excel at interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable to change, able to pivot and find alternate solutions, demonstrated capability in meeting new challenges
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to work efficiently with high order volumes in a fast-paced environment

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
