Role specific 

• Conduct extensive economic analysis and research to support client engagements in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, regulatory impact assessments, competition policy, and public finance. 

• Develop and apply economic models to analyze market trends, assess policy impacts, and evaluate economic scenarios. 

• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information, conduct in-depth research, and analyze industry trends and market conditions. 

• Assist in the development of policy recommendations and strategic advice for clients based on thorough economic analysis. 

• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations, providing insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis and industry knowledge. 

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant economic theories, policy developments, regulations, and market trends in Malaysia. 

• Support business development efforts by identifying potential client opportunities, assisting in proposal preparation, and participating in marketing initiatives.

Skills, experience and qualifications 

• Graduate or less than 1 year of experience in economic analysis, policy advisory, financial advisory, or related fields. 

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Finance, or a related field. 

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in economic modeling, statistical analysis, and financial analysis. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. 

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, SAS) is a plus. 

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. 

• High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards. 

• Knowledge of Malaysian economic policies, regulations, and market trends is highly desirable.
