About the Role
We are seeking a driven and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Chemical Business Team. In this role, you will assist the General Manager in driving sales strategies, developing business opportunities, and managing strong client relationships within the chemical industry, both locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing sales strategies and action plans to achieve sales targets.
- Liaise with internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors on contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize sales processes and enhance customer experience.
- Prepare meeting materials and conduct business analysis/feasibility studies for decision-making.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow market share.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships in the chemical industry.
- Provide regular client updates, address concerns, and close business deals with mutually beneficial terms.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of chemical products, their applications, and value propositions.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, account status, and forecasts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Industrial Chemistry, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the related industries, with at least 3–5 years in chemical business development or sales.
- Experience in international markets, contract negotiation, and vendor management is preferred.
- Proven track record in managing B2B relationships and securing business deals.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and self-motivation.
- Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
