We are looking for a technically skilled Planning Drafter to join our Business Development team. This role is essential in supporting the technical planning work for newly acquired land, including the drafting of preliminary layout plans for feasibility assessments and assisting in the preparation of drawings and documents for KM (Kebenaran Merancang) submissions.
You will work closely with internal teams and appointed consultants to ensure all layout and submission requirements are met accurately and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preliminary Layout Planning
- Draft preliminary layout plans (residential, commercial, mixed-use, etc.) for newly acquired or potential land parcels based on planning guidelines and land characteristics.
- Incorporate key development parameters such as plot ratio, road hierarchy, density, setbacks, infrastructure, and terrain constraints into layouts.
- Support the feasibility study process by preparing layout options for internal discussion, site yield estimates, and land utilization plans.
- Translate development concepts into layout drawings for management presentations.
2. KM Submission Support
- Prepare and refine planning drawings (site layout, zoning, infrastructure alignment) in accordance with authority submission requirements.
- Liaise with external town planners, engineers, and architects to coordinate input and ensure consistency across submission documents.
- Assist in the compilation of full KM submission documentation and track revision history based on authority feedback.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control for all planning submissions.
3. Technical Coordination & Drawing Management
- Ensure all drawings are produced to required standards (scale, formatting, legend, labeling).
- Perform detailed checks on plans to ensure compliance with planning standards and guidelines (e.g. state policies, zoning, road widths).
- Maintain and update internal master layout drawings as projects evolve.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, CAD Drafting, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in layout planning or drafting within the property development or consultancy industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp; knowledge of GIS software, Photoshop, or 3D visualization tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian planning regulations, KM submission processes, and layout design principles.
- Ability to interpret topographic maps, survey plans, and authority guidelines.
- High attention to detail with good spatial design sense.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.

- Experience working on township planning.
- Familiarity with local authority planning procedures and consultants’ coordination.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
