What are your job responsibilities?
- Generate regular and ad-hoc management reports, providing key financial insights and analysis to aid decision-making at various levels of management;
- Prepare financial performance reports, highlighting variances against budgets and forecasts;
- Collaborate with the Group Financial Controller to create financial models and forecasts to support long-term planning and business strategies;
- Preparing and maintaining financial statements, general ledger, and trial balances;
- Assist in the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to gather financial data and create comprehensive budgets;
- Monitor and track budget performance regularly;
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and return on investment (ROI) calculations, to assist in business decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement;
- Ensure that the Accounts & Fiannce department processes and documentations are in compliance with accounting standards and regulations;
- Monitor the progressive claim submission of contractors to the project owner or consultant, as well as the issuance of certifications by the project owner or consultant. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to the project owner and follow up on collections with them;
- Ensure the collection process to minimize outstanding balances, resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a professional and timely manner;
What do you need to succeed in this role?
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, or professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA and MIA.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience preferably within the construction or real estate industry. Candidates from reputable audit firms are encouraged to apply.
- In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience in construction project financing and contract management is desirable.
- Experience in Corporate Exercise.
