Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Account Manager to oversee and manage our accounting operations . The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing financial insights to support strategic business decisions. This role requires someone who understands the dynamic nature of the F&B and retail industry and can adapt financial management practices accordingly.
1) Full Set of Accounts (Retail & F&B)
Handle and maintain full sets of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations for multiple outlets and retail locations.
2) Financial Reporting
Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, P&L reports, and sales performance summaries by outlet.
3) Budgeting & Forecasting
Coordinate with operations to prepare outlet-level budgets and sales forecasts. Monitor variances and provide analysis to management.
4) Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Manage SST submissions, income tax estimates, and ensure compliance with EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and other statutory requirements.
5) Liaison with Auditors, Tax Agents & Regulators
Work closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and government bodies during audits, inspections, or compliance reviews.
6) Cash Flow & Inventory Cost Monitoring
Track daily cash flow across outlets, monitor food and stock costs, and ensure financial health of operations.
7) Credit Control & Supplier Payments
Manage credit terms, track outstanding receivables, and ensure timely payments to suppliers, landlords, and service providers.
8) POS Integration & System Optimization
Ensure accounting systems are accurately integrated with POS systems for real-time sales tracking and outlet performance analysis.
9) Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain well-organized records of sales, purchases, supplier invoices, tax files, and audit documentation for retail and F&B transactions.
10) Financial Advisory & Business Support
Provide financial insights to support outlet expansion, promotions, pricing strategies, and cost control initiatives.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 –4 years experience in accounting or finance role, preferably in F&B or retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, SST, and statutory compliance.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting, AutoCount, QuickBooks) and POS systems.
- Good analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple outlets and handle fast-paced retail/F&B environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
